The Malawi Red Cross Society is a humanitarian organization focused on disaster relief, health services, and supporting vulnerable communities. They work to promote resilience, provide emergency aid, and improve social welfare across Malawi and operate as part of the global red cross and red crescent movement.
Inspired by Goonj’s 'Little Needs' campaign, this is meant to highlight how material donations make a real impact. Each creative showcases the vital work of the Malawi Red Cross Society across various sectors, visually drawing attention to the essential needs they address and the difference they make in communities.
This campaign aims to connect with Gen Z and millennials by highlighting how the unexpected can affect anyone at any time. The focus is on showing young people in relatable, everyday moments, while subtly reminding them that emergencies can happen without warning and their loved ones might urgently need blood. By donating, they can make a real difference and potentially save someone close to them.
I chose to re-strategize how to showcase impact in posts by highlighting the impact directly on the images to grab the audience's attention and deliver essential information at once. i feel this may be a better approach at times from the normal carousel with captions. These creatives can serve as flyers or posters and double as billboards or banners, making them adaptable for both online and offline use.
For the advocacy campaigns, I used carousel posts to break down key issues like malaria prevention and blood donations. Each slide combined strong visuals with clear, concise messaging to engage and drive action.
I designed backdrops for all Red Cross societies in Malawi and four event banners highlighting their mission, tasks, and successes. These banners can be used at events or displayed in public spaces like health centers and community halls to showcase the Red Cross's impact and activities.
